Ingredients you will need

While mine is a moscato sangria, you can certainly go drier and use other white wines, such as Pinot Grigio or even Chardonnay. It just depends on your flavor preferences.

Expert Tips & FAQs

  • Sangria usually combines red or white wine, some sort of liqueur, and sometimes soda water for fizz. Then you add a bunch of gorgeous fresh fruit and let it sit.
  • As I said, I chose white Moscato, plus I added in Triple-Sec liqueur and club soda. Riesling or White Zinfandel are also great white wine choices, it just depends on your flavor preference.
  • Change it up and use a pink or red moscato instead. There are lots of fun flavored moscato varieties now too. We love the peach and apple flavors!

You really should let the flavors meld in the fridge, but I won’t judge if you have a glass now! Enjoy.

This is very good! I normally find moscato much too sweet, but the addition of the triple sec and club soda really cuts the sweetness. It makes for a lovely summer sangria.

I wanna make it without carbonation. Any ideas for a substitute for the club soda? Or just leave it out?

Is moscato super sweet? Would this be a tad less sweet with a Sauvignon blanc? Looking for a recipe for a large crowd . Also have you used the inexpensive boxed wines for this recipe and would you recommend. Thanks looks beautiful

Moscato is quite sweet, so yes a Sauvignon blanc (or any white wine that you enjoy) would be perfect!

So if I make this the night before, does the soda water loose it’s fizz?

    Reply

    • Amanda Formaro says

Yes it will, but you can make the sangria completely, without the soda water the night before. Right before serving, add the soda water in and give it a stir :)
