Delicious Thanksgiving day leftovers are enveloped in a warm, buttery, flaky, crescent dough and baked to golden perfection in a muffin tin. Each handheld bite is the perfect explosion of familiar holiday flavors.

One of my favorite parts of Thanksgiving day is the main meal & desserts. I love to cook as you all know, so there are never a shortage of leftovers in my home.

But, sometimes we might only have smaller portions of stuffing, sweet potato casserole, turkey and fixings like olives left over. These leftovers are like gold, but might not be enough for a full meal.

Tips for Making Thanksgiving Leftovers Crescent Dough Bombs

Make sure all your fillings are handy and ready to go. You do not need to preheat them beforehand unless they were frozen.

Use the Pillsbury Grands XL crescents so you can add more filling to each.

Only work with cold crescent roll dough, otherwise it will get very sticky, very fast!

When wrapping crescent bombs, you do not need to make sure dough is covering every space. They will bake up just fine.

Baking them at 350 degrees F. is the ideal temperature, but cook time is between 12-14 minutes depending on your oven. I recommend checking them at the 12 minute mark.

Can the Thanksgiving Leftovers Crescent Bombs be Frozen?

Yes, these can be frozen. If you freeze them, thaw them in room temperature for about 30 minutes and then heat in the toaster oven for 5 minutes at 350 degrees F.

You can also microwave them, but they really are not the same delicious texture. They turn into more of a dinner roll texture versus a crispier texture.

Equipment

  • Muffin tins

Ingredients

  • 24 ounces crescent roll dough Pillsbury Grands XL Crescent Rolls (12 ounces each, 2 cans)
  • 3/4 cup turkey
  • 3/4 cup sweet potato casserole
  • 3/4 cup cranberry sauce
  • 3/4 cup stuffing

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

  • Unwrap each can of crescent roll dough and lay them over the open slots of each muffin tin.

  • Once they are all laid out (there may be some empty slots and that is ok) it is time to start adding the fillings.

  • You want to add about a tablespoon of each filling (4 total) to each crescent dough roll.

  • Once all the fillings are in, it is time to wrap them.

  • To wrap, bring over the two larger triangle ends, and then the longer piece. These do not need to be perfectly closed and will bake up fine. Watch the video above to see my technique.

  • Bake for 13-14 minutes. Each crescent will be slightly (not deeply) golden brown.

  • Enjoy warm!

Notes

Nutritional values may differ and are meant to be a guide.

You may substitute any Thanksgiving leftovers you may have inside such as regular potatoes, olives, and pickles, etc.

You do not need to grease the pans.

You may serve these with warm turkey gravy which complements them well.

These can be frozen, and are best warmed in the toaster oven for 5 minutes at 350. You can also microwave them, but they really are best the same day.
